While almost everyone agrees that
our massive and complex health care system is broken, few with any sense of proportion
will suggest a comprehensive way of fixing it. The Clintons, for all
their faults and for all the faults of the plan they proposed, are
to be admired for trying.
We at YourDoctorintheFamily.com
apparently
have no better a sense of proportion than the first couple, for, as
part of our mission to help you understand and survive the American
health care system, we feel constrained to offer a comprehensive
vision of how to reform health care.
Our proposal derives
directly from the picture of our health care system we paint in our Grand
Unification Theory of Health Care. We'll be the first to
admit that our proposal is neither easy nor pretty. (See Fixing our
Health Care System, and Devising
a Methodology for Open Rationing.) But if it were easy (or pretty)
to fix our health care system, then one of the very smart people now
asking for our votes would have
already proposed something better. And they most assuredly have not. (See our
Special Campaign 2000 coverage.)
Don't thank us. It's what we do.
We're your
on-line guide to understanding and
surviving the American health care system.
